Confusion

Confusion has settled itself upon my life. School work and family. which of these three are going to give? sometimes none and sometimes all. Just been under a lot of stress lately and feeling downish.

So many emotions and not sure how to work through them.

argh.. oh well such is life and now its time to deal rather than letting it kick me around -.-

update...finally

Hmm.. i really should learn to update this more often.

well things are going good. I'm still working for the state as a temp employee. Its not too bad. i guess it could be worse. I got transferred to a different departmetn about 2 weeks ago and its pretty cool. i'm going to be working 7-1.30p.. only 6 hours with a half hour lunch. i am actually very happy about this as a I am taking 15 units this sememeter. personally i feel as though i am trying to kill myself or at least make my life very busy.

Well i found out why some games can be so addicting.. i got into final fantasy XI around the end of march and then got REALLY into when school ended in May. I was playing HUGE amounts of time on the damn evil game. >.< Made friends online through the game which is pretty cool. found a new female friend.. very exciting as i tend to hang out with guys more than chicks. so now i have someone to talk to! yay! with school starting i am having to cut down on my addiction.. not happy about it but i have to do it if i want to pass my classes. its a good thing i'm not so addicted that I hve to stop and think about which is more important. I know ppl who play EQ that have that problem... anyways...

school started this week. 6 classes total i am taking. 4 on campus and 2 online. mostly accounting classes with a PE and an English class thrown in. Not happy about the english class. I am so horrible at English.. words, sentence stuctures, grammer.. these things are not my strong subject. I don't like them and don't always understand them. oh well.. they are required so i guess i have no choice *big heavy sigh of defeat*

not sure what else... hopefully i will start posting more often...

Tea Leaf

Well, I had my final for my Intro to Business class tonight. I turned in my take-home/openbook/essay test tonight and feel good about it. I had to answer 3 out of 5 questions. I have a great teacher. And then we had to do our group presentation. Each group was to start up a "business." My group took my idea of setting up a Tea House, named Tea Leaf, and ran for it.

All of the others group used power point presentation or just talking to people, we had "product testing" of Tea Punch, very nummy, and Rice Krispie Treats. Our presentation was not done by Power Point. We used a three fold presentation board. We had uniform ideas, menus for both food and drinks (we got some good tea drinks), vision/mission statements, local artists information(so we could say that we were displaying their artwork like a gallery), benefits of tea, budget, business plan, "buy 9 drinks get the 10th free" cards, calender of events, floor plan, and some other information that I couldn't think of. Then two of group brought laptops and they presented a virtual floorplan so you could take a look at what the place would/could look like and a website designed by one of the group members. We really blew the other teams out of the water.

At the end of our presentation, we were asked by one of our classmates if we were actually doing this in real life or was this just a class project. We answered that it was just a project.

After class had finished, I stopped to talk to the teacher and she told me that I should really consider opening my tea house. I told her that I didn't have the money and she informed me that there are a lot of investors out there who would be interested in investing in a company like this. I just have to take the chance. So I Kept the board that my group had made along with bunches of information and I'm really thinking about it.

The only concerns that I have at the moment is, of course, the underlying fear of trying it out, where to look for investors, and could I really pull this off by myself. I don't think I could do it by myself but one of the girls in my group was there when I stopped to talk to my teacher. I really think that she would be a good person to have on board....

oh well... for the moment I will dream that everything is easy and that I won't have to do anything to get my tea house opened....

I hate taxes

Now I hate taxes differently than most people. I'm working at FTB this year in the recieving department and it hasn't been bad up until this point. I've worked part-time, about 24 hours a week, and now that the week of April 15th has come I'm working 40 hours, balancig school, which by the way was not easy this week as I had homework due and a test this week. Big suckage for me.

Good news is that at least I'm going to have a nice paycheck. Other goods news. I have gotten new anti-baby pills. No little ones running around the house in the near future! YEA! Planned Parenthood is a good place for me and my eggs. Since we lost our health insurance I've been worried about how I would get more pills without having refills from Kaiser, then a friend suggested Planned Parenthood. I got an appointment and then went there and waiting 20 LONG minutes and POOF! Anti-baby pills were mine! Success!

On other another note. I've decided that if I can't stay on with the state like I would like to that I'm going to go ahead and try and get a newspaper route in June and see if that will help to make ends meet. I've heard from a guy I know that he makes $600 a month delivering newspapers. I've thought about this. The work time would not interfer with school. I could take classes when I wanted to and not have to schedule them around work. Nice. Nice. Its an idea.

Going to a party in San Jose next weekend. Going to get blitz as I will be 25 years old at that point. My birthday is Wed, the 21st. I'm not sure that I want to turn 25 but I guess that I really don't have a choice.

Real World Approaching

So my Spring Break has been nice other than the having to work 4 out of 5 days. I learned new and fun things at work which is always fun. I have not learning and doing the same repetitive task over and over. Not very much fun for me. On the other hand I have been taking my hand held CD player to work with me so I have something to listen to. I've been finding Audio Books and listeing to them. I never thought that I would like an audio book but funny enough I do. Not bad at all. I'm currently listening to the first book in the Left Behind Series. Almost done with it. Not too surprising the book has got me thinking about my spiritual and religious self. Religion has always been a problem for me. Too many ideas and I can't seem to make just one work for me. I keep thinking that I should take all the parts that make sense to me and make my own religion. I would call Genian. Still in a quandry...

I sit here on my new laptop <grin> and am doing my homework as the real world approaches and I have to go back to school for 5 more weeks. Then summer comes and I will be hopefully taking 2 classes so I can finish in hopefully a year instead of a year and a half. Fingers crossed that it works.

Woo-hoo

Not much on the front here. Getting more and more addicted to Final Fantasy XI. Free time is being eaten up by the computer and sleeping.

Lots of friends coming by this week. Camber came by yesterday and we all, Camber, my hubby and myself, played the game. LOTS of fun but time went by quickly.

Justin came down today! YEA! Dax attacked Justin and told him how she missed him. She is a very vocal puppy.

Found a new coffee house that has some AWESOME tea drinks. I was so happy. A funny named chai drink that had honey and almond and milk in it. Nummy it was.

Work is going good. I'm getting hours and that is a good thing. This week hours are a good thing. Next week though hours will be a bad thing. I really hate going to school and working. I get so tired and I miss my hubby so much.

Saw Hellboy Friday night. Not a bad movie. There was a lot of stuff that could have been done differently but personal opinion here. The biggest problem was that there were 7 commercials before the movie or the previews started and all the previews were ones that I had already seen.

After Spring Break ends I will only have 5 weeks left of school! YEA! That is absolutely fabulous news to me.

So during this week of no school I will be immersing myself in the world final fantasy XI. Yoo-hoo.

New Computer

I love my mommy! She is a wonderful lady. Today she wanted to go to the new Best Buy that opened in Folsom and she wanted me to go with her. I was like okay sure why not. So we went to the new store and of course looked at the computers..specifically the laptops. So a nice man who worked there came by and asked if we needed any help and they talked for a bit and then he said the magic words "18 months no interest" and BAM! I got a new laptop from my mommy for my birthday! Yeah Mommies!

Hello big world out there

It's been a while since I've updated. Things have been lazy and so I haven't really wanted to do anything. Since the last time I went ahead and updated my hubby had his 27th birthday. He's an old man now. Happiness for him because he got a second X-Box for his birthday. Halo parties at our place! Woo-Hooie! And he also got Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004. He has since become addicted to playing golf on the X-Box.

I start work tomorrow at the Franchise Tax Board at 6am, which means that I need to be going to bed pretty soon. I'm kind of nervous about starting work.

School is going good. I had my first dialogue test for sign language test. that was nerve racking. In my business class, we have to make up a business and get it started and such. The group I'm in has decided to open up a Tea Shop kind of like a coffee shop but instead of coffee, tea. I'm a big tea drinker so for me its a very good thing.

Fear

When I was younger I had a huge fear of ants. Silly little fear I always thought but for the longest time I could not get over it. It was so bad that if there were ants in a room I would not be able to go into that room. Now that I look back at I can't understand why I was that scared of ants. I still am scared of ants but not nearly as bad as I used to be. Now if I have a handy-dandy kill ant spray bottle I'm good as long as I don't have to clean up the dead carcuses.

I have problems with speaking in public. I know that most people have this nervousness or that fear but for me it really is a fear. I get all panicy before I have to speak in public and I have no idea how to get over the fear of it. with the ants I didn't have much choice I moved into a house that was infested with ants. Of course if i had known the house was infested I would never have moved in but that was then and this is now.

Does anyone have any suggestions/ideas on how to get over the fear?

Top News in Jenopolis

Well, I started school a couple of weeks ago and things are going great. I actually like my classes so that does help a bit. I'm taking Sign 2, Managerial Accting and Intro to Business. All are night classes so I have no problems getting to them. Yea! A very good thing in my book.

I have a new job but I don't start until March. It gives me time to figure out what needs to get done where. At least I won't have to worry about it for too long. the job is a seasonal job. its only going to run til april and then I will be job-less again and by then I will really need to look for another job. Pooh. I don't like this whole job thing but unfortunately I do like money. sigh.

In other news, I started the Atkins diet Monday the 2nd. Its going good. I've lost about 11 pounds so far in a week and I feel good. I'm following the diet and using a rowing machine. I'm not so worry about the poundage that comes off but I am worried because I have a major problem with my back and I need to get some excess weight off so I don't tweak my back so much.

I might be getting another puppy that would give me a total of 4 puppies in my household. I am such a sucker for puppies in need...

SItting In Bed

I like having a laptop with a wireless internet thingy. I can sit in bed and not have to go anywhere. A very nice thing. I can do homework or play video games in the nude and attempt to make plans for the day or even better I can do nothing and just sit in bed. My pups know where to find me and they come and hog up the bed. Surprisingly its a comforting thing to have them come and hog the bed. Sitting in bed is a wonderful thing.

Jenn-ness

Its been a while since I last posted. Looking at my entries it was before GYRO's started and a lot has happened since then. GYRO's went well..or at least I like to think so. It was busy and hectic and fun just like last year. We had a good team this year and that I was thankful of. Camber, for all of you who know him, improved greatly. I put him in a maze for a night and there was no hiding under a table or behind barrels. Very proud of Camber I was. We ended up with a new base this year. Sorry Bethy! He did a good job. He got very frazzled when Dan was there and it seemed as though Dan was there A LOT but we all survived.
Jackie and Joe were there. It was good to see everyone again. MOnica was there and I got to know her quite a bit more than I did last year and I'm really glad I did. She very funny and is a good dancer/climbing over chairs lady.
Then at the end of GYRO's life became even better. I was booted from my job. No big there. Actually really happy about it. Good way to kick you in the butt to examine your life and where it is going. I've started looking for a new job. Its not going so well but that's okay. I will survive and I am surviving. SO that's all good.
At the moment I am taking a break from doing my accounting homework that is due on monday. lucky me. My brain is slowly trying to melt down and then on top of it the PS2 is calling for me. It wants to me to finish playing FF X-2. Almost there. Only a little bit left! THat game for me is addicting. I like the whole changing of outfits thingy.
Anyway.. THought I'd actually put something on the journal.

Its beginning again

GYRO's is starting to get under way and with a bad car involved I got promoted(?). I think its a promotion(?) anyway. I was expecting a busy month for October but was more surprised than worried when I found out about the promotion(?). I keep thinking there is a big sign on my forehead that reads "SUCKER" and in reality I was drafted and wasn't actually promoted(?). Oh well either way the month is going to busier than I anticipated but with the crew that I got this year I really don't think that there will too much to worry about. Thank goodness.

me-ness

life took an interesting turn today, providing the information I received was indeed correct and all that fun stuff. Will find out tomorrow(?) hopefully if the turn is actually there.

But the business thingy is kicking in and I got my first meeting finally set up after a week so I am happiness in my world of Jenn.

The world of Jenn is learning to be silent for 4ish hours a week. Its interesting being able to communicate with only the hands and facial expression. I didn't realize how out of practice I was with signing until I started taking Sign 1 at college. The saying is right as usual... for once I wish it was incorrect. An interesting thing to me at least, is that Deaf Awareness Week is the last week in September and the college I am attending is putting on a program, i guess its the right word, to help people see how it is to be deaf in a hearing world. Its a 4 hour program, no talking allowed or you "get arrested" by the hearing police, everything in the area is signing only and you have to communicate with ASL. 2 hours with no talking is hard for me, trying for 4 hours in 1 block seems almost impossible but I'm going to try it and hopefully not get "arrested."

For all who worked Gyro's in Sac last year, Sara says "Hi!"

colors!

Well I have found the button to customize my journal thingy. Kind of fun. Must change often. Colors are a good thing. Unfortunately, I will probably forget to change the colors unless added to my daily to-do list, which reminds me that my to-do list needs new batteries. Must change before I forget. Must go now.

Today my business is starting to take flight! Definitly a good thing. I have someone interested in taking a look at quixtar and possibly joining. It was like way easiness. Just talk to them about it and poof! somewhat instant success. Yippie Skippie! I've been trying to figure out for weeks how to talk to people about it and tell them how cool it is but my vocal skills have just been good enough. They freeze up at the thought of having to say anything. What if they think i'm crazy? what if they don't understand the concept? what if they just say no? Well aren't those silly fears? now if i can just get past them...
Fingers crossed...

Well in other news.. I have tomorrow off and that is like way spiffy coolness but the day will be spent cleaning the house and doing homework. icky! oh well such is life...or at least my life.

New and interesting sounds and light awaited Jazzie as she opened her eyes. Morning always seemed so bright and cheery but they always left her so grumpy. Would today be the same as the rest?
Would it be hard to wake up and get a move on? Only one way to find out. Jazzie quickly threw off her covers and looked around the room to see what should be blamed for her early awakeness. Just as she had suspected it was the window to blame. Darn window and its ability to be seen through. Oh well, the day was just to pretty to let go to waste. What new and wonderful things will there be to discover today? Only the day could tell and unfortunately it doesn't like letting the cat out of the bag...
